Big news for LA artists! Our friends at Artadia are now accepting applications for the 2026 Los Angeles Awards 🎨💫
It’s an unrestricted award for visual artists living and working in Los Angeles County, and artists of any stage or medium are invited to apply. 🙌
Artadia’s process brings together local and visiting curators to select six Finalists, and ultimately grant two $15,000 awards and one $25,000 award — a beautiful opportunity to support your work and fuel your next chapter. 💛💸

A whisper of the extraordinary is arriving at Iris Project Residency this May. From May 12 to May 25, 2025, we are thrilled to open our doors and creative spaces to the remarkable artist and curator, Katherine Aungier. And good news for those who want to delve deeper: you’ll have the chance to meet Katherine on Sunday, May 25th, from 3 pm to 5 pm at our beloved local establishment, The Douglas .la. ——————————————————————-Katherine Aungier is not just a multimedia artist; she is also a conductor of resonant frequencies and a seeker of hidden dialogues. Her artistic voice spans various mediums, including painting, sculpture, sound, installation, writing, and performance. Despite these different forms, they all originate from the intuitive act of drawing. Her practice represents a dynamic dance rooted in the deeply personal energy of collaboration. It is a realm characterized by a profound spirit of care, a playful yet sharp curiosity about the systems that influence us, and a steadfast belief in the power of collective efforts.
