Today I’m 35 years old 🎉 My initial feelings about this milestone were of anxiety - by conventional measures, I’m “behind”: I don’t have a ton of money, I don’t have a partner or kids or a house. But last night, I performed my first ever solo concert of original & musical theatre songs at my beautiful co-op home for a group of incredible friends, and realized: I have so much wealth and abundance in love, creativity, purpose and impact. By these measures, I’m successful beyond what I ever envisioned was possible for myself.

I’m so grateful for all the people who have reflected this to me over the years - because of you, I continue to sing, paint, write, and share the journey of walking this wild, colorful, difficult, awe-inspired, & entirely unpredictable artist’s path ✨

I am wholly committed, and I can sense this year is going to be the best yet 😌💜🌈

Hi everyone, you are invited to my first-ever online event: an artist talk and meet&greet 😌

This is my response to all the enthusiasm pouring in from new fans of “Wear Whatever the F You Want”. It’s been incredible to hear from you, and I’d love to deepen further 💛

WHAT: An imperfect experiment. A real and earnest storytelling of my journey of becoming a visionary artist: getting laid off from 3 different nonprofits, struggling to find purpose, and rediscovering my creative powers.

I’ll share my story (with fun visuals!), and then there will be space to chat: to ask me anything and express what’s in your heart.

Hi dear friends and lovely new followers (!!),

In the wake of so much interest in “Wear Whatever the F You Want”, I’m going to try a little experiment and go on IG Live tomorrow at 5pm PT to talk about the show experience and answer any questions you have about it ☺️

I feel a little nervous because it’s bound to be somewhat fumbly and awkward, but reminding myself that showing up as my real self is what’s most resonant 💛 and I genuinely am excited to connect with you all about it! (Even if one person shows up that would be awesome 😁)

Fun fact: my favorite outfit from “Wear Whatever the F You Want” actually didn’t make it into the episode, but ended up being the most transformative of them all for me.

On the second day of filming in NYC, and surprised me with a pair of white pants that they had screenprinted a bunch of my paintings onto. They challenged me to paint directly onto the pants, and gave me 30 minutes to do so, live on camera, during the lunch break (we were on a tight schedule).

I had never painted on clothes before, but there was no time to overthink it - I channeled all my newfound confidence and joy into splashing those pants with color and lines and shapes, and finished just in time for them to come back and complete the look with an incredibly cute sweater, hat, and purple cowboy boots. I looked at myself in the mirror and felt ecstatic - THIS was what I imagined all along: looking as beautiful as my art. The clothes ARE my art. 🤯

I’m sad it didn’t make it into the final cut, but I’m glad to be able to share this with you now. These pants inspired me to start putting my art onto clothes, and now I’m creating custom painted clothing commissions & selling art apparel in my online shop ☺️🎨✨

I feel so grateful to the hosts, producers, & designers of WWTFYW (especially ) for their thoughtfulness to do this for me 💗

I wrote a song, and I put it out into the world. This is “Close Your Eyes”, my first ever single 😭🎶

It’s taken me five years to feel ready to share my music like this. It feels scarier by far than sharing visual art- even scarier than baring my soul on reality TV. But I genuinely love this song - it feels like a true expression of my soul. And I want to share that with you.

Enormous gratitude to my housemate for helping me record and produce this track. This wouldn’t be possible without him. (Also, check out his dope organic ambient music! More collabs from us coming soon too)

This song is a guided meditation (I actually wrote it in 2020 for a mindfulness facilitator training program), so feel free to listen to it as such. I hope it brings you more home to yourself, as it did for me 💛✨

It’s been a week since “Wear Whatever the F You Want” has come out, and the response have been an utter joy and delight to receive 🌈🌸✨
