For Your GRAMMY® Consideration | Thunder Love feat. Phil Collen

We’re pleased to share that Thunder Love feat. Phil Collen has been submitted for consideration for the GRAMMY Awards® in the following categories:

BEST ROCK SONG
BEST ROCK PERFORMANCE
BEST MUSIC VIDEO

‘Thunder Love’ is the first track released from Crossbone Skully’s upcoming album “Condemned to Rock n’ Roll” featuring Phil Collen of Def Leppard. Henriksen crafted a classic rock reunion on ‘Thunder Love’, as the song brings Collen back together with producer Mutt Lange, with Collen saying:

“It’s great to be singing with Mutt again. It’s a vocal blend we’ve shared for many years, and having Tommy’s voice in the mix adds another dimension. ‘Thunder Love’ is pure fun rock n’ roll. Tommy’s got a powerful rock voice, but what really stands out is how versatile he is. He can shape his voice to fit whatever a song needs, and that’s a rare gift. He and Mutt share the same philosophy: it’s all about the vibe. When you get that right, everything else falls into place, and I think that’s a big part of what makes Crossbone Skully unique.”

When creating the music video, Henriksen wanted to make something that reminded people what rock videos used to feel and look like - big, cinematic, colorful, and just plain fun.

Reflecting on the experience, Phil Collen said: “Crossbone Skully are bringing back the sound and spirit of classic rock. You just don’t see many videos like this anymore - it’s becoming a lost art, and being part of something that celebrates that has been a lot of fun.”

This weeks playlist features a selection of songs curate by our Director of Client Services, Alex Alt!

Says Alex: "Music is one of my favorite things in the world and I feel so passionatley about it. As such there's a lot of music I love from many different artists and generes, so narrowing this down was hard, and this list has probably changed many times and could be changed more. Never the less, this is a pretty good cross section, a lot of the artists you see here are all time favorites of mine."
