March is Youth Art Month, a national celebration that recognizes the importance of visual arts education and encourages the creative expression of young artists. As an organization of women dedicated to uplifting and supporting youth in the arts, we cannot think of a more fitting month to celebrate the creativity, imagination, and artistic voices of young people in the visual arts.
Through drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and design, young artists learn to express their ideas, build confidence, and explore the world around them. Quality K–12 art programs play a critical role in helping students develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and cultural awareness that will benefit them throughout their lives.
At The Society, Incorporated, we are proud to advocate for youth in the arts and to celebrate the talented young visual artists who continue to inspire our communities. By supporting strong arts education in our schools, we help ensure that every child has the opportunity to discover and nurture their artistic gifts.
We encourage you to celebrate Youth Art Month by supporting student artists and championing arts education in your community.
Contact your Youth Art Month Chairperson or your State Art Education Association to learn more about Youth Art Month or how to get involved in your state.
