Airports today. Theme parks tomorrow. Same questions underneath.

This article on motional digital twins in airports is a great example of what we see across complex environments: real value shows up when teams can predict how people, resources, and decisions interact over time.

In this case, digital twins are used to move from reactive firefighting to proactive planning— forecasting congestion, testing “what if” scenarios, and connecting flow decisions directly to operational efficiency and revenue. It’s a pattern that translates well to attractions, retail destinations, festivals, and large-scale experiences— anywhere efficiency and guest experience are tightly linked.

Worth a read if you’re thinking about how to ask better questions earlier and make decisions with certainty before changes get expensive.

Across industries, we keep seeing the same pattern: “What if?” is still the most underrated design tool.

How motional digital twins improve flow, efficiency and non-aeronautical performance in airports

🏆 We’ve been shortlisted as finalists for the 8th Aurea Awards. 🏆

We take this as a meaningful nod to where immersive entertainment is heading. Out of nearly 100 nominations focused on innovation and real-world impact, the jury shortlisted Worldbuildr alongside other finalists. It’s encouraging to see experiential validation and predictive modeling firmly part of that conversation.

Big thanks to the AUREA organizers and Jury for the invitation to be part of such an exciting mix of projects, perspectives, and disciplines! These moments matter not so much for trophies, but for the space they create for sharper questions, better tools, and projects tackling some of the industry’s most practical and creative challenges.

In early February, we’ll be heading to Europa-Park to pitch our platform to the Jury, listen and learn from fellow finalists, and connect with the European immersive entertainment community.

🎢 (If we’re a little slow to reply that week, we’re probably looping Europa-Park’s Silver Star **— sending our not-so-sincere apologies in advance.) 🎢

🎢🦃We're being thankful for our most successful yet! 🦃🎢

Last week at the year's biggest conference for amusement parks and attractions was a complete blur— packed to the brim with meetings, product demos, and a panel discussion moderated by Michael Libby on the topic of predictive modeling and simulation for immersive experiences.

It was also the first time Worldbuildr had a prominent physical footprint at the conference thanks to our partners at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA).

This year, we showcased some of the latest features we've developed for our software including our new guest flow simulation toolset, as well as the public debut of our new, streamlined asset management interface.

Thanks to all of our panelists, partners, and pals who helped make this year's conference an unqualified success!

✨There’s a quiet shift happening in our industry.

The same simulation tools that shaped aerospace and manufacturing are now being used to design theme parks, museums, and immersive experiences.

Until recently, these tools were out of reach: expensive, complex, and built for programmers. But now, creatives and producers can use them directly to simulate visitor journeys, test ideas, and make confident decisions before a single wall is built.

It’s a new way to de-risk creativity and build ambitious projects faster, smarter, and with fewer surprises.

We’ve just shared more about Meow Wolf being one of the early adopters in today’s press release. It's the first of a few stories we’ll be telling about how digital twins are changing LBE from the inside out.

This collaboration marks the final milestone of Worldbuildr’s transition from a custom services company to a product-based platform.

The Worldbuildr team was in fine form last week attending the 2025 INSPIRE Summit and the 31st Annual presented by the Themed Entertainment Association.

The whirlwind week included factory tours, panel discussions, case studies, and an awards ceremony honoring the best and most innovative projects that opened last year in the world of location-based entertainment.

Highlights included a "State of the Industry" panel featuring executives from major studios and streaming services, an encounter with The Walt Disney Company's remarkable autonomous droid created in partnership with NVIDIA and Google DeepMind, and a special session moderated by Adam Bezark, where the original design team from Universal Creative reunited to reflect on over 25 years of the industry-shifting dark ride The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, which opened in 1999 at the Universal Orlando Resort.

Thanks to all who said hello and spent time with us, and we'll see you next year!

We are excited to share this official Unity case study, created in collaboration with our partners at Frankndesign. This case study highlights a key component of the software pipeline powering Worldbuildr's digital twin platform - seamless import, optimization, and management of architectural models in formats such as , , , and many others.

With this innovative approach, models can be brought to life within Worldbuildr's real-time game engine environment, offering a no-code solution for designers that want to start turning their digital assets into living, breathing simulations.
