✨ BTS of The 24 Hour Plays Nationals production process! 26 actors, writers, directors, and producers created four dynamite new plays in just one day, at Art of Acting Studio and The Broadwater. Thanks to everyone who came out to the show on Friday!

The 24 Hour Plays Nationals week in LA continues! The cohort participated in workshops and panels led by guest artists Natalie Margolin, Bobby Moreno, Casey Stangl, Matthew Sonnenfeld, Sarah Lerner, Ryan Tymensky, and Jordana Sapiurka. They took part in a “collaborator speed dating” workshop, a directing workshop, a contract literacy class, artist statement classes, and a mini version of The 24 Hour Plays as a leadup to Friday’s performance.

Yesterday was the first official day of programming for The 24 Hour Plays Nationals in LA!

Our artists participated in workshops and panels led by professional Los Angeles-based artists Steve Yockey, Hilary Bettis, Amy Levinson, Angela Lewis, Sofya Levitsky-Weitz, Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx, and Michele Spears.

Our 2026 NY Nationals Cohort is hard at work in the rehearsal room working on their 24 Hour Plays. Our writers wrote four incredible short plays overnight and our group hit the ground running at 8:00am with cast assignments and read throughs of the scripts!
