We've got some bad news. Official word has come down and we have 60 days to be out of pehrspace. While we fully intend to continue recording and hopefully find a new home for The Ocotillo quickly, this does mean the end for us here in our home that pehr has provided. Thank you to everyone who has offered us the honor and pleasure of allowing us to help you make music. It's been more fun and more educational than I think I'll truly be able to grasp for a long time. I feel extremely grateful to all of you. If you're the kind of person who is wondering how to be of some comfort or help to us during what will be a very difficult transition (Good for you! You beautiful, sympathetic super human) we would greatly appreciate it. The absolute best way to do that is to honor us once more with a chance to work for you during these last 60 days here. Come in and make music, let's record! Schedule a session! Let's make some great memories during a sad time. Tell your friends about your experience working with us and stay in touch.
I've been involved with this space in one capacity or another for a long time now and it's provided a place to practice/write/learn/collaborate/and build a life around music. Losing pehrspace is nothing short of a tragedy. Even at times when I felt overwhelmed or confused by the space, and myself in it, I always leaned on pehrspace and it always held me up. I'm hoping some sort of fundraising eventually gets started for Pehr to continue elsewhere and I encourage anyone who doesn't already to go like their page and follow this as it progresses.
We truly can't thank the pehrspace community and the musicians who worked with us at The Ocotillo enough for allowing us the opportunity to work here and make some cool stuff.
