KP Projects (in partnership with Merry Karnowsky) is pleased to present Shadow, a new body of work by Jeff Soto. In this exhibition, Soto pivots from his recent explorations of technology and landscape to turn inward, employing still life as a means to reflect on memory, absence, and the everyday. Using layered acrylics and oils, Soto imbues objects -- cacti, books, analog artifacts, taxidermy, and more -- with personal narrative and poetic resonance.

In Shadow, the artist treats ordinary things as time capsules: symbols of presence and loss, echoing the things that shaped our lives. Shadows here are both metaphor and form -- reminders of what lingers just beyond visibility, the weight of what has passed, and the stories embedded in what we hold close.

These are objects that tell my story while, hopefully, leaving space for viewers to find their own.
