As we wrap up this trip around the sun, I just want to thank you for being here 💫

My esoteric, whimsical, and empirically gathered world view means that I believe we all chose to be here at this particular time for some reason, and our unique mission started at birth. We've been here before in some fashion, and we find the souls we're already familiar with. At some point we were in cahoots with the universe itself

Imagine from some place beyond time, we can pull the strings of space and gently push things into place (honestly kind of like Interstellar if you need a visual lol)

So if you're like me, and currently alternating between "why tf this time to be alive" and "wow, this is really my time" then you are not alone, and thanks for being here! 🫂

Music has historically been an innate part of human existence, and carrying that torch is what makes me feel alive. No machine will ever replace that ability to tap into soul, and we still need real songs that come from feelings we haven't defined yet 🌌

Keep using your hands, brain, and unique gifts, I think they'll only become more valuable as we realize its what we truly crave (like, you're magic stardust 💅)

I purged some thoughts today into a blog post that goes deeper into living with intention, happy to send it to you 🫶

I'm a reflective NYE person, a quiet night of cahooting with the universe is always such a gift, say hi if you're like this too 👋🥳

The song playing is a love song from this frame of reference, where the idea is that you keep coming back for endless laps around the sun to find your same soulmate again and again (go check out the lyrics to "Same Old Star" with this in mind if you like songwriter lore)

Oops, all candor:

For me, music is what lets me quiet down the constant noise in my head. Tuning into that noise often yields songs, and I just have to give them space to them fall out

I've been quite content with just organizing my complicated feelings into a nicely packaged songs, but I do want you to hear them too

Not because I'm trying to sell you something, not because I need to be told they're good, but simply because I think these songs will help you process the complicated modern world too

Not so long ago you had to be in the same room as a musician to hear music, and now every object you touch plays a little song. All you need to do is click a couple extra places on this screen and you'll find a lovingly made album that came purely from within, with no capitalistic alterior motive

Literally, where else can you find any art of this nature?

90% of the music equipment in this room has accumulated through the law of attraction - payment for music doc gigs, hand-me-downs because "it would get used," beloved music gear that "just needed a loving home," and anything else is funded with my film career where my preferred niche is filming music performances

Like, I'm not trying to boast, but I know I would've been my teenage self's favorite artist

So grateful to all the radio stations that play us, all our listeners and supporters, and to all the amazing folks who keep excitedly asking, "when is your next show?!?!?!"

I've been posting less on here because, frankly, tons of my attempts to post have been stuck in cloud limbo and never actually post (who knew empowrring messages were so spicy). It was easier to not waste my own time, but I know these songs will help someone somewhere alchemize their chaotic feelings into their fuel - going to keep trying anyway

The mark of success for me is simply having a music room to play in, but I know these songs need to be heard beyond these 4 walls, so use today to listen to Sand Box!

At the end of the day, I know we all can win, and to put it simply, that is the grassroots mission behind this music

We caught some lightning in a bottle today! 🎷⚡️

is really endlessly amazing, and there is no one who plays the sax like he does 🔥

His mastery is born from a lifelong exposure to eclectic music, combined with extremely hard work for decades on refining skills, and some mysterious third thing probably!

Somehow he can magically conjure what's in my mind in just a few passes 🤯

I feel so lucky to get to play music and do life with him 💜

It's super special to communicate in so many different ways, we even learned German together just for fun!

And this new stuff is shaping up to be really special too, I can't wait to share it with you !!!

For now you can enjoy lots of delicious sax on our existing tunes, anywhere you listen to music 🤘
