The fear. The isolation. The stolen moments. All because the world has decided that this "kind of love" is "wrong." But they don't have to live with the broken heart from losing someone. They don't have to live in secret. We must break down the walls of shame and allow everyone to live in their own truth. If they're not hurting anyone, not destroying anyone's lives... Our hearts break for this young man... Wrongly accused. Imprisoned. Beaten and abused. Ignored for 3 years without even a trial! Then they find him innocent of all charges and let him out... But without any support or assistance, without any money to live. And now... He ENDS HIS LIFE..... Well, they ended it, he just realized (or felt) there was nothing left.

So tragic. Our prayers and thoughts go out to his family and loved ones.

What a horrific story! The dangerous power of shaming and embarrassing your own children on the Internet can lead to this! Raise a child with love. Discipline but compassion. We feel guilty that our lives have kept us so busy that we haven't been doing our part. When this kind of news hits over and over again, it's a reminder that we must do more to get messages of self-love and self-acceptance out into the world.

Sawyer... It's sadly too late to tell you that life, even with all the pain and confusion is still a gift, and the good that comes in the balance is worth living for. It's too late to tell you that no matter the trouble, you are loved and appreciated... But more than that, you are needed. It's too late to tell you to talk to us, or anyone different than who you feel doesn't understand you or doesn't love you. It's too late to ask you to reach out before... It's too late.

To your twin brother and older sister we send our heartfelt condolences! Their pain, the pain of your mother and family is unimaginable. To them we pray for peace and comfort through the many hard days to come, probably for the rest of their lives. But we hope they know love, love of self and love of each other. We hope that they will hold each other up... When one falls down.
