Meet the incredible performers and creative team behind Cursed / Consecrated!

Come see this spectacular reimagining of South Asian myths that continually reshape and influence culture. Cursed/Consecrated boldly explores the legends of women cast as dangerous, excessive, and cursed through the dance traditions of Odissi from East India and Kandyan, Low-Country & Sabaragamuwa from Sri Lanka.

📢 Hear it directly from the students and teaching artists: FOUNTAIN VOICES is TRANSFORMATIVE!

✨Here students from the pilot program at City Honors International Preparatory School (CHIPS) and Fountain faculty members ReSheda D. Terry and Alex Ubokudom reflect on the experience creating their original play, SNOWSTORM IN AMERICA, exploring the impacts of the ICE occupation in their Inglewood community.

🎭 Our summer residency will center the stories, recovery efforts, and community resilience surrounding the Eaton Fire. Applications to join this ensemble are open NOW!

It can fully fund the Fountain Voices Summer 2026 Program.

This July, 10 young artists will come together to create theatre for and with their community through a program centered on mentorship, storytelling, and artistic collaboration.

Your support helps cover:
• Teaching artist pay
• Student honoraria
• Production costs
• Classroom supplies
• Snacks and meals
• And the countless behind-the-scenes resources that make this experience possible

For these young artists, this is more than a summer program. It’s a chance to build confidence, find their voice, develop creative skills, and experience the power of making art in community.

We’re working to raise the full $20,000 program budget by July 1. Every contribution helps move this work forward.

Experience a powerful reimagining of Indian and Sri Lankan myths through soul-stirring dance and music. This moving performance is weaves together three South Asian dance traditions: Kandyan and Low-Country dances from Sri Lanka, and Odissi from Eastern India.

Through movement, creative writing, and performance exercises, the program empowers students to investigate social issues, engage with diverse perspectives, and develop their artistic voices.

It's and today we spotlight RheAnn Mennefield. Also serving as the Fountain's Programs & Administrative Associate, RheAnn also made an impact on the students at Hollywood High this year teaching the Fountain Playwrights curriculum. In addition to all of the hats she wears at the Fountain, RheAnn is also a writer and dramaturg providing invaluable insight and point-of-view to the young artists in our program!
