🌈 Rainbows In Real Life – The Icon of Diversity! 🏳️‍🌈✨

Rainbows aren't just found throughout Yarnia's diverse rainforests—they can be found all around our world too! 🌏

Rainbows are made from sunlight, and sunlight contains many different colors that our eyes can't see separately all at once. When sunlight passes through water, those colors separate into a rainbow, allowing us to see each color individually! ☀️

Here's how it works:
When sunlight passes through a water droplet, the light bends and reflects off the back of the droplet. This separates the light into all of its many colors. 🌦️

💡 Fun Fact for Young Explorers:
Did you know a rainbow is actually a full circle, but from the ground we only see half of it? If you were in an airplane, you might be able to see the entire circular rainbow!

Rainbows are a promise of hope, pride, nature, honesty, and diversity. In 1978, artist and activist Gilbert Baker designed the Pride flag using a rainbow because, like diversity itself, rainbows are a natural part of our world. By including all colors, the rainbow represents the inclusion of people across different races, genders, orientations, and identities. 🏳️‍🌈

Just like rainbows, diversity is a natural part of thriving communities. Yarnia celebrates creatures of all identities, making its world a place where everyone is welcome, valued, and celebrated for exactly who they are. Yarnia is a home for all! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

🌈 In Yarnia, we celebrate the diversity that makes our world vibrant and our communities stronger. This month, we honor the LGBTQ+ community, along with the values of inclusion, identity, equality, and belonging.

🌈 Characters like Devin remind readers of the importance of inclusion, while cat siblings Mila and Autumn are committed to standing up for others and being allies. Their mommies, Georgia and Nancy, model love, compassion, and acceptance, while Odetta, the Mother of Yarnia, fosters kindness, equality, and acceptance throughout her world.

Behind the world of Yarnia is a very real love for animals. 💜🐾

This National Pet Month, we wanted to celebrate some of the beloved companions who bring comfort, joy, laughter, inspiration, emotional support, and a little everyday magic to members of the Yarnia team. ✨

From cats and dogs to tiny whiskered rat friends 🐀, every animal featured here is deeply loved and part of the lives and hearts of the artists helping bring Yarnia to life.

Many of our team members spend long hours creating artwork, animation, stories, music, and worlds — often with a furry companion nearby offering cuddles, comic relief, comfort during difficult days, or the occasional welcomed interruption demanding snacks and attention. 💕

That spirit of friendship, love, playfulness, and emotional connection lives deeply inside Yarnia, too. 🌿

🐅 Meet the Beautiful Bengal Tiger — in real life! 🐾✨

In Yarnia, Autumn doesn’t just become a tiger… she becomes one of the largest tiger species in the world: the Bengal tiger! 🐯

Bengal tigers can be found in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan, roaming forests, grasslands, and mangrove habitats. 🌏✨

From nose to tail, Bengal tigers can grow up to about 9–10 feet long, or roughly 2.7–3.1 meters, and just like human fingerprints, no two tigers have the same stripes! 🐅

💡 Fun Fact for Young Explorers:
A tiger’s roar can be heard from up to 2 miles, or about 3 kilometers, away!

But Bengal tigers are also an endangered species, and they need our help. 💛

The good news? You don’t have to travel to South Asia to make a difference for animals and ecosystems. Even small acts of kindness toward wildlife, conservation, and endangered species in your own local area can help protect our shared world. 🌱✨

✨🐅 From the bold and powerful Bengal tiger, to the giant but gentle Asiatic black bear, to the quiet and steadfast Sunda pangolin, each creature brings something special to Yarnia - strength, wisdom, courage, balance, and a unique kind of magic that helps the whole world thrive. 🌿✨

💛 Just like in our world, these beautiful creatures need protection too. Many are endangered due to habitat loss, poaching, and changes to the environments they call home.

🌎 Protection can take many forms - caring for animals, protecting natural habitats, supporting conservation efforts, raising awareness and helping create a safer world for all living beings.

🐾 And these animals are only a few of the many species around the world that still need our help, compassion, and protection.
