DTLA has changed, evolved, morphed and ascended in so many ways over the past 13 years, but the one constant was the locals hideout, home away from home: . When we first started doing these brunch parties, and the Deets crew were our biggest champion and frequent venue partner. So every year we return to our ancestral home located in Skidrokyo. Fantastic eats, cheap drinks and the best view of DTLA in town. For May 3rd we once again celebrate the birthday of our host, the godfather of brunch: Don Bejarano. A special Cadillac version of the Don Bejarno California Burrito will once again be on offer with carne asada from the OG Carneceria in Baldwin Park to celebrate. Music by and friends. March 1st we return to for the brunch party on special request of the birthday girl because of their amazing food. As y’all know while we love a good party with music and mimosas, we ALWAYS prioritize delicious food here at First Sundays. Suehiro has been giving people the warm and fuzzies with their DEEP menu of Japanese comfort food for more than 50 years!

Whether your favorite is ramen or udon, curry or katsu, Suehiro has it all (sushi, sashimi, karaage, bento boxes and SO much more!). Carnivore, pescatarian or Vegetarian, they accommodate everyone! So come spoil yourself March 1st with one or more of Suehiro’s amazing dishes.

March 1st we are running it back at for a brunch party with a birthday bash for the illustrious our madame of media. The food at Suehiro is so damn amazing we’ve tried a different dish every time we have gone and STILL haven’t found a weak link! We also have throwing down another banger performance. If you didn’t catch his set at Good Clean Fun, you missed some of the best DJing we’ve seen in ages. So come join us March 1st 12-4pm for music mimosas and SO much more!

WOW! new brunch menu is absolutely AMAZING! And man, did and put on a show for Grammys Sunday brunch. Thanks to everyone that came out and the phenomenal Good Clean Fun crew. Next month we celebrate birthday at ! So if you missed out on December’s rager brunch, you are in luck as we run it back! And ‘s set yesterday was such a crowd pleaser, we convinced him to come back next month on throw down for us March 1st! So come join us next month at 4th and Main for Japanese comfort food brunch next month!

If you are a DTLA night life aficionado, you’ve spent an evening or eight on the patio of tasting some natural wines with charcuterie and music with until things got a wee bit blurry. Good Clean Fun has expanded its repertoire to coffee and brunch in 2026 and so we had to team up and bring the community brunch party to 9th and Olive to celebrate their continued success and highlight their new brunch game. If you know Ian and the GCF fam, you know they will bring the same energy to brunching as they do to everything else they do so come check it out with us on February 1st from Noon - 4pm. Our music director Joseph the Broseph is traveling the world and unavailable, but never fear we have the legendary opening up the first set for us with his usual mix of music to get you dancing ( and he will drop some beats for your usual Sunday Salsa lesson), and then we have the return of to the decks for his first set of 2026 to bring us home. So put it on your calendar and come join us for Music, Mimosas and SO much more!

Yesterday we had an absolute BLAST for the last brunch party of 2025. We are still drooling over the dishes we were not to fit in our stomachs at . Thanks for everyone who was able to make it out, for the wonderful Suehiro team who kept the food delicious and the drinks poured, and for keeping the music going past 4pm. If you want some delicious food and family vibes, stop in Suehiro and treat yourself to the best Japanese comfort food in town!
