Meed advice on building stairs. Total amateur here. I should've hired it done but I'm cheap. I struggled my way through the initial build but am wanting to get some advice on how I should go about putting these stairs in.

As can be seen in the photos, the concrete is at a slight angle towards the deck causing a gap. I am not against making the top step flush with the decking unless it could cause more problems down the road. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

After the fact tile edging. BIL finished tiling project while I work out of state and didn't embed a tile edge. Wife thinks we can just wood trim edge, but I'm guessing not. Google search suggests cutting under tile, but I'm not that handy and don't want to eff up what looks like a semi-decent tile job that I know I couldn't do better. Looking for post install tile edge solutions.

Enclosing carport into 3 season room help. Hi, I’m enclosing my carport into a 3 season room. The carport has a raised floor about 25 inches above the ground. The floor has been fully framed. The issue is that the roof framing extends 12ft out from the house but the floor framing only extends out 11ft 10.5 inches. The construction for the floor is flush beam. Would it be acceptable to attach another 2x10 to the outside of the beam to align them? If so could I use lag screws? or something else?

If you see in the photos the roofs beams stick out from the house so even with the added on 2x10 the full weight would still be directly above the beam. I’d be framing with 2x6 walls so 4 inches of the wall would be sitting directly on the supported beam . The outside wall wouldn’t really be structural since the existing carport had no support along that whole 22ft span. Just looking for some opinions. Thanks!

Help please - wire tile levellers stuck. Hi, I’m hoping someone can help advise me how to get these stuck wire t-bar threaded tile levellers out please. Floor tiles were laid yesterday Pm (Friday) by our bathroom fitter. We’ve used him on several bathroom refurbs and no problems. I now understand we should have had these out before the adhesive cured overnight. Got quite a few out but most in pics are stuck. I’ve been successful with some by gently twisting 90degs, cracking adhesive and then loosening nut more and waffling out. Wire is thin so limit on waggling. One came loose from plastic fitting and complete noob mistake I used pliers to try and pull it out and chipped an edge - I know, stupid move. I’m also wary of an over waffle causing a chip. Any helpful advice is much appreciated.

What the heck is this? Stair guy here. I’m in this house to back up for a some steel stringers for the stairs. See those extra pics if you want. I try to be thorough. lol.

Anyways what the heck are these 7 conduits for? It’s sparky PVC and they are retained on the studs by hose clamps. The whole house is already wired and these aren’t being used by anyone yet. Used to be a cable guy. There’s no microduct above it or really anywhere for wires to go from either end. If I were to guess it’s the pantry off the kitchen and a little dining area on the other side of the wall. I cannot imagine what these are for. Never seen it before.

Does my new cheap tile saw have a crappy blade? My old tile saw died. I went to Home Despot and bought this Ryobi one to finish some tiling at my house.

New blade leaves a very jagged edge. It takes 10 minutes of sanding the edge with a diamond block to get close to getting a decent edge on the veneer of the tile.

Cutting subway tile is better than the Italian tile pictured but not great really.

I assume the blade is cheap crap. I should replace it with ______?

Threshold question. Hi guys! Back from our family vacation so I gotta get back on the bathroom project. I’m planning on doing a small threshold but the LVP in the bedroom goes right up flush with my hardibacker. Do I need to slice out some of the LVP and add a tiny strip of hardibacker, or do I just put allset on the LVP and call it a day with some caulk? Also, how would you set the threshold (green or red in the pictures)? I’m leaning towards notching the doorjamb like I showed in green so you only see the LVP with the bathroom door closed.

Lastly, I’m using 12x24 tiles. I backbuttered every tile for the floor (except the first one because I spaced out and forgot 🤦‍♂️) but do I need to back butter the 12x24 tiles going on the wall behind the toilet and other dry walls? Thanks!!!
