The Luckman Fine Arts Complex delivers cutting edge music, dance, and visual arts from around the world to the Los Angeles community. A professional arts entity on the campus of California State University, Los Angeles, located just five miles east of downtown, the Luckman Complex is home to three unique spaces: the Luckman Theatre with a capacity of nearly 1200, the Intimate Theatre with modular

seating of 300, and the Luckman Gallery with contemporary presentations throughout the year. Since 1994, the Luckman has featured the best in international and local music, dance, theatre, and visual art. The Luckman is partnering with curators Erika Hirugami, founder of and co-founder of UNDOC+Collectiv , and Steve Galindo , LA-based curator, for an exhibition of lens-based student artwork exploring the intergenerational euphoric ecstasy of q***r brown celebrations and their evolution across the Southern California landscape. This exhibition will be part of by CuratorLove, a constellation of exhibitions bringing together more than 20 college galleries and affiliated spaces across the region.

In honor of , we are excited to premiere the latest episode of our series Luckman Sessions, Raiford Rogers: The Architect of Los Angeles Dance. NOW STREAMING
In this episode, we dive into the creative process of the internationally acclaimed, Los Angeles–based choreographer, Raiford Rogers, who has been a central force in the city’s dance scene since the early 1990s. A two-time recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Choreographer Fellowship, he has created numerous ballets with prominent musicians and dancers around the globe. The episode follows him and his company from the early rehearsal process their opening night at The Luckman, and highlights the tremendous work and dedication it takes to bring a ballet to life.

The Luckman is proud to be a partner institution for the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship Program, offering paid summer internships at museums and visual arts organizations across Los Angeles for college students from backgrounds underrepresented in the arts.

Experience Second Chance in Action: Education, Policy, Possibility.

Cal State LA invites you to the 3rd Annual Prison Graduation Initiative (PGI) Convening in recognition of Second Chance Month—a day of connection, reflection, and community impact.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore reentry resources at the Resource Fair, engage in a Legislative Panel on reform and second chances, and attend the world premiere screening of The People in Blue, a powerful film produced entirely by incarcerated filmmakers.
