On my way to Park City and feeling incredibly grateful. ✨
Ten years ago was my very first Sundance armed with advice from my festival sherpas and Michelle Witten: eat whenever you see food, dress in layers, and do not underestimate the altitude.

has always been my favorite fest. I’ve long said it’s the most bang for your buck - one Main Street, where filmmakers are beautifully stuck together. Whether you’re heading to a screening or grabbing a coffee, you’re bound to run into someone. That magic is hard to replicate, and it’s why I’m genuinely sad to see it leave Park City.

This year I’m excited to return with my second indie SERIES to premiere, which makes me so proud. So special to celebrate indie film and series in the snow one last time - and to honor Robert Redford as Park City sends us off. 🤍🎥❄️ 📸 - obligatory Egyption marquee photo from 2016 💞

People often ask me how I choose projects, and for me, it always starts with the script. and wrote such a gem that I felt truly honored when they trusted me with casting this ensemble. It’s so satisfying to read something you know actors will respond to, and this was exactly that. We brought together a cast who genuinely wanted to tell this story - even without a lot of money - and for that I’m always grateful. Kelly’s deeply personal story of her father’s su***de is exactly the kind of meaningful work I want to champion. Aaaanndddd, we got to shoot an indie film in Los Angeles!

Had the best weekend at the first-ever Napa Valley Stream Fest! ✨ No notes.
Got to sit next to my brilliant friend (president of the Duplass Brothers), and while my brain casually exited the building during the “Power Moves” panel — major thanks to , the world’s most patient moderator, for throwing me lifelines the whole way through. 😵‍💫 Thank you for including casting in the conversation!
Biggest highlight? Seeing THE BALTIMORONS — directed the hell out of it with such focus, humor, and heart, and gave the kind of breakout performance that makes you want to cast him in everything immediately. The jazz soundtrack? Chef’s kiss. 🎷
Feel-good movie of the year. (And I didn’t even cast it — so you know it’s GOOD.)
Huge shoutout to the team for pulling off a perfect inaugural year — pure Napa magic. 🥂🍇
Already crossing my fingers they invite me back next year... 🎬
