Now Town is shocked and saddened by the senseless deaths of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Reiner. He helped shape modern comedy as we know it. This Is Spinal Tap was the first full film length “mockumentary” and largely improvised, spawning a genre of other hits (also mostly improv) like Waiting for Guffman and Best in Show. Spinal Tap II, released just a few months ago, proved that his talent was as sharp and hilarious as ever. Rest in Power, Rob Reiner.
