We’re two writers who came together to focus on creative development and co-production. We emphasize collaboration by honoring each team members’ talent contribution. We value people and product equally. All the projects we work on have this one main theme in common - making it Through the Wilderness. From suspense thrillers to ghost stories to dark comedies, we remain grounded by the notion that each of the stories represents a trip through the darkness where we sometimes need to get lost before finding our way. Through the wilderness, other times we seek the darkness to face our demons, allow a part of ourselves to die, and find our light. Through it all, we enter the dreamtime through the camera lens, to experience different worlds, and walk in strangers’ shoes. Moving through the wilderness means we don’t have to conquer or destroy it. All we need is to see it, understand it, and get through it. No matter how deep the woods, how dark the skies, we forge our paths and move forward in hopes of finding peaceful respite in a cedar grove with the sun poking through the branches warming our skin. Our first project is Blessed, a female-driven action short about Kiona Stetson, a police officer, who is forced to face her feelings about miscarriage, and the law when a dying ho**er leaves a 'blessing" in Kiona’s garage. This is a prime example of the type of work we want to do. Female voices are underrepresented in the action genre. And Kiona is suffering in a dark wilderness. With Blessed, we hope to show that seeing complex women characters kicking ass is a viable business model for screen storytelling. We look forward to future weirdness, heartache, sin, redemption, pain, and catharsis.
