Congratulations to Matthew Cuban Hernandez on leading the Da Poetry Lounge Slam Team to a 2nd Place finish at Southern Fried Poetry Slam and helping guide DPL back to the Finals for the first time in nearly a decade.🎉✨

For years, Cuban has poured his heart into this community showing up for poets, cultivating talent, preserving the legacy of DPL, and helping shape the next generation of spoken word artists. His impact reaches far beyond the stage. This achievement is a testament to countless hours of dedication, belief, and leadership.✨

For the first time in almost a decade, Da Poetry Lounge has officially made it to the FINALS at Southern Fried Poetry Slam in Orlando, Florida!

After the pandemic. After the shutdowns. After rebuilding. After welcoming a new generation of poets, veterans, and rookies alike…DPL is back in the finals where we belong🔥

A huge shoutout to our slam team for carrying the legacy with heart, courage, and excellence. And a special thank you to Matthew Cuban Hernandez for leading and coaching this team through an incredible season.✨

We’re proud. We’re grateful. And we’re not done yet‼️
