Boulevard Recording is a newly reopened recording studio in the center of Hollywood, California. Once home of the famed Producer's Workshop, Boulevard Recording is expanding on the rich history of this studio space. This is where Pink Floyd decided to park for two months after they began tracking The Wall in France. Ray Charles, Steely Dan, Neil Diamond and many others painted these walls with music. In the 90's a majority of Epitaph Record's albums were recorded here as well as Mazzy Star's hit "Fade Into You."

I promise I don’t usually put this many drum mics up. But the 90’s were weird and I couldn’t make these sound sh*tty and thin enough. And I’m 2 for 2 on playing on the record I’m producing. I’ll take it. Clay Blair will play on your tracks for half price because I’ll have to spend 2 hours doing beat detective

In 1978 Pink Floyd spent a lot of time in this room when it was Producers Workshop. Finishing and mixing what was likely their most successful release. Most of the recording was done here. Including Mother from the ground up with Jeff Procaro on drums

I found the permit taken out in 1966 to build an echo chamber behind our live room. It still is there but has long been tape and mic storage. But it can be heard on this amazing long lost record by The Moon called Without Earth. Should we empty it and see what it sounds like ?

The booth. Built in 1974 for Thelma Houston’s direct to disc Sheffield Labs release engineered by ! It’s Oscar the grouch green and Snuffy brown s**g leave it for many things. Not just vocals. But also drums was producing the People Watching album a few years back. sure knows how to mic a kit.
