Jason Trotter’s latest series offers a fresh reimagining of his earlier work through the lens of Josef Albers’ color theory. By exploring the interplay between color and form, Trotter introduces new color fields that transform the viewer’s perception of hue, depth, and composition.

"Interaction: Biomorphic Black"
A continuous black form flows across three joined canvases, while independent fields of neutral gray and terra cotta bring the work to life — creating a quiet rhythm and a sense of shifting movement.

Artist Spotlight!

Beatriz Salazar is a Los Angeles based multidisciplinary artist and designer. The work meets at the intersection of architecture, construction and art.

With a foundation in both environment and creative process, Salazar explores the inherent tension between the man-made and the natural. Her work focuses on materials, processes, and the imperfections that surface over time and during the creative process. The medium of choice is carved concrete - a material that carries the weight of construction yet is rarely treated as an artistic medium. Through this material, Salazar reveals the quiet beauty in decay, wear, and the passage of time.

Complementing this practice is the use of lime paint, composed of slaked lime and mineral pigments. Made from natural ingredients, it is an environmentally conscious medium that pays homage to traditional craftsmanship.
