Los Angeles based theatre company whose mission it is to presenting Broadway's forgotten gems and off-Broadway's undiscovered treasured, and shining a light on productions that deserve a second look. Chromolume Theatre was founded in 2003, with a commitment to raising the quality of theatre productions, raising the expectations of theatre lovers, and raising the number of theatre-goers in Southern California on the 99-seat level with productions that promise to deliver entertainment that is intellectually stimulating, as well as emotionally satisfying.

From our friends at Knot Free Productions: Based on the 1999 cult-classic film created by Darren Stein—who also writes the book for the stage adaptation—JAWBREAKER THE MUSICAL reimagines the iconic story about the cost of popularity as an electrifying theatrical event in this strictly limited workshop engagement at the historic Hudson Theatre. Set in the treacherous halls of Reagan High, the musical follows the rise—and unraveling—of a ruthless clique of teenage girls whose reign of power takes a deadly turn. Fueled by the adrenaline of a pop concert and laced with biting humor, the musical explores the intoxicating—and often dangerous—nature of power, identity, and survival in a world obsessed with status. Featuring one of the original cast members from the film, the iconic Rebecca Gayheart! Learn It. Live It. Love It. 💋

📣 ANNOUNCEMENT 🎉

After nearly a decade, we are THRILLED to announce that Chromolume Dance Studio is reopening at a new location in West LA on Wilshire Blvd. beginning September 1, 2026!

We are excited to begin this new chapter at this new location! We are looking to hear our dance classes toward the working musical theatre actor, so check into our website to find out our teachers and class schedule.

Further, for those of you looking for space for rehearsals auditions or callbacks, this is a great venue for that. Our studio is nearly 750 sqft. with full mirrored walls and a piano which can be used.

We look forward to welcoming our LA Theatre friends and family at our new location.
