☀️SAVE THE DATE! Saturday, June 6, (4-8pm) Anthony Villarreal’s “Tape Art” will be opening soon at Plaza de la Raza’s Boathouse Gallery. This solo show will be free and open to the public on view June 6-30, 2026.

🖼️Through this innovative and accessible art form, Anthony Villarreal transforms everyday materials into vibrant works that challenge traditional ideas of fine art. Working with blue painter’s tape and a combination of masking, iridescent, duct and electrical tape, Anthony creates vivid and intricate mixed-media artworks alive with texture, dimension and detail. His work draws inspiration from Chicano lowrider culture, fashion, landscapes, portraits, historical imagery, architecture, landmarks and plant life.
