Cactus Gallery is a vibrant Latina owned and operated gallery. Since March 2005, our space has been an eclectic mix of contemporary art and folk art. Starting March 1, 2019, Cactus Gallery began hosting its wonderful exhibits online and in our private space. We continue to work on holding space for a world that is able to honor many views, many cultures and many perspectives. Our commitment to int

erconnectedness must stay in the forefront so we can continue to care for one another on the other side. We are planning our next move with love & care and value your friendship through this pandemic and through these changes to our business model. For collector previews, information on interest free installment plans, cash and check sales, additional images, or any questions regarding purchases or to arrange a visit, contact Sandra Mastroianni at [email protected]. Fully vaccinated folks are now welcome to stop by our private space to see the shows in person. The gallery is open to installment plans to help you grow your collection.

Thank you Alfonso for snapping this photo of Naima and I last month when we were in Portland, Oregon. We were a few doors down from her casa, walking back from getting some coffee and a Marionberry pastry at the shop down the street. It’s hard to not feel joy and hope in a place this lush and beautiful. I am happy that she is happy.

I love so many things about Portland and I love my Naima more than anything.

Opens this Saturday, May 23rd at 12pm Pacific Time at link in bio.

… Eight Arms to Hold You is not about escape; it’s about the quiet willingness to stay—with empathy, with thoughtfulness, and with the small comfort of just being held. I’m hoping my paintings invite viewers to pause, to breathe, and to feel held by something strange, sweet, and sincere.

We love Nora’s art and are proud of her first solo show for us.
