The Ebell of Los Angeles is a philanthropic organization founded by women, for women in 1894. Originally created for educatio
n, art and equality during a time of oppression, the Ebell remains strong today. The club supports dozens of non-profits and scholarships, in addition to hosting special events, live music, dinners and community forums. The motto, “I will find a way, or make one” aligns with its core mission to encourage the educational, cultural and social growth of the diverse Los Angeles community. The revenue we generate by renting out our beautiful clubhouse and theater goes directly to keeping the club going, it keeps our dues low so we are accessible to all women and maintains our venue to be enjoyed by all. Our venue is available for weddings, film productions, fundraisers, theatrical productions, screenings, film and TV premiers, award shows, fashions shows, conferences and so much more.
