LINEAGE MVMT is a collective of dancers who are also martial artists, dedicated to honoring the lineage of Kung Fu while expanding its cultural relevance within contemporary performance. United by shared training in Chinese martial arts and informed by diverse dance backgrounds, we explore how “traditional” forms can evolve through the bodies and perspectives of contemporary artists

More than a straightforward dance piece, BETTY conjures a lived reality of the female experience. Influenced by a deeply rooted creative process of research, personal stories from the performers, and the artist's recent experience of becoming a mother, BETTY contemplates society’s perpetual and permeating imprint on the female psyche.

RAT-RACE uses dance to portray the gradual loss of personal ambition that many workers experience as they become trapped in the routine of a 9-to-5 lifestyle. Over time, comfort and stability replace the drive to pursue personal growth, leading to neglect of their own aspirations.

In this unique approach to composition, Lincoln uses altered recordings of the cast’s vocal and body percussion to represent how human labor is used as a tool for advancing corporate outcomes. As workers continuously devote their bodies, time, and energy to the goals of others in order to eat, pay rent, and support their families, the pursuit of their dreams becomes a sacrifice that is all too risky to make.

🌞 In a time marked by climate crisis and widespread disconnection between body, mind, and environment, VESTIBULE explores feminist futurities and how dance can function as a practice of regeneration.
What is possible when women unite to dismantle inherited separations between personal and collective ecosystems?

With over 20 years of trailblazing work shared nationally and internationally, Kybele Dance Theater presents Reminiscence, a visual marvel which turns movement into an exploration of family dynamics through echoing memories. Dancers leap and fly above tables and chairs, transforming a house full of family photos into a textured and introspective piece of ensemble movement. Through fusing theatrical and contemporary dance with Turkish imagery

Through fusing theatrical and contemporary dance with Turkish imagery, Anima explores the profound division between the inner and outer self. Through an evocative unraveling of the psyche, the stage becomes a tiny universe, where authenticity precedes rebellion and intuition transforms into knowledge.

"Gambiarra: Imaginary Solutions for Love" emerged from exploring the connection between dance improvisation and everyday gambiarras, a word in Portuguese for inventive and unconventional ways of fixing things.
In this quest to invent imaginary solutions to [imaginary] problems, the dance unfolds through a vast discovery of gambiarras.
It’s all fantasy, and that’s precisely why it’s so concrete.

Thresholds is a two-part contemporary dance work that explores the emotional and sensory landscape of neurodivergent experiences.

In Part I dancers navigate the emotional labor of suppressing one's authentic self in order to fit into neurotypical norms.
In Part II, the work shifts toward reclamation and self-trust.

Together, the two parts trace a point of rupture, shifting containment toward expression and opening space to reconsider how difference is understood and valued.
