Learning more than ever before about set design, audio visual tech tings, wardrobe, editing, dongles, interfaces, funny faces... and all for IG, Zoom and Youtube 😆 Also, you know, patience, pivoting, resilience, authentic expression of self, support, need vs want, making a dolla outta fifteen cent, ego, connection... and I don’t mean internet connection ...well actually yes that too.
Wild n fun learning times we’re in!! Here’s some snippets from a set I did to help raise $ for ArtWorxLA last week. Tbh before heading to the venue (my dining room) I was so tired in the green room (my couch) and just not “in the mood,” to do it all, but knowing I had agreed to do this to help raise money for artsy youth was motivation enough and then, of course, playing the funk, took me outta my funk. Happens every time. Also, my alien bf Patrick helped. Alsoooo learned split screen downgrades the sound quality but I think the person on top fares a bit better JUST FYI for those experimenting like myself.
Lots of newness and unknowns these days but I encourage you to keep experimenting, and trying and trying again. Channel that childhood curiosity and uninhibited nature. It took time to learn everything you know now, and you got to wherever you are now by starting somewhere and you can do it again and again and again! as long as there’s breath in yo beautiful body!
