Skylight Theatre Company creates award winning theatrical experiences that entertain and spark conversation. Skylight LIVE launched March 2020 to bring Artists and Audiences together during the pandemic. -- The theatre is located in Los Feliz Village in East Hollywood (Los Angeles. Skylight discovers, develops and produces original new work by diverse artists & educates and nurtures the people that create them.

Skylab, the resident professional playwrights group is led by the Pulitzer Prize Finalist and Tony Award nominated Lee Blessing. The Play Reading Series is a more than a play reading, it's a entry point for our Play and Artist Development program. Other programs include Underground, Fresh Brews, and Skylight LIVE and are designed to support and challenge rising artists of all ages and experiences.

Our 2026-27 Season opens with the world premiere of RORSCHACH, written by the Emmy nominated Kelly Younger (unfortunately no Muppets in this one). A funny, inventive, and surprisingly tender new play about the art and science of perception, the courage to be seen for who we truly are, and the mysterious, blotted shape of love itself. RORSCHACH invites us to laugh, fall in love, and ask ourselves the question that changes everything: What do you see?

Two World Premieres and an American Classic Reimagined

These plays grabbed a hold of our hearts and wouldn’t let go. We need these stories. We need to be informed and challenged and pushed. But we also need to laugh, and laugh hard. We need to be moved to tears. Our hearts need that because “everything is connected."
