I’m really impressed by these projects, they give me hope and make every post about them totally worthwhile! 🌱✨ They’re a beautiful reminder that people are doing everything they can to protect our environment and animals 🐾🌍

After all, without healthy ecosystems and wildlife, who would keep our natural systems thriving when humans have mostly been taking from them? 🤔

I’m so happy to see governments stepping up to protect important areas 🏞️✅, and I’m equally excited about innovative projects like The Ocean Cleanup, which are using cutting-edge technology to clean and preserve our oceans! 🌊🧹🚀

I’m also thrilled to share how simply talking to people and showing them inspiring examples of other communities working toward the well-being of our planet can truly shift perspectives,even in big companies and large-scale operations! 💬🌏❤️

The other night, we checked out the GFTD 2025 show at Gallery AF, and it was an amazing vibe! Over 20 local artists displayed a wild mix of styles: pop surrealism, surreal, abstract, lowbrow, macabre, and digital.

My favorite artworks showcased the artists' ability to depict human bodies and emotions during adulthood. Meanwhile, DJ sets and tacos made the night even more enjoyable.

My absolute favorite part? The gallery’s location in LA’s unique artistic hub, the gritty, industrial area of Los Angeles that feels raw and inspiring.

Planning to attend the next shows in January!! 🌟🎉

So thankful for every walk through a city where sustainability is quietly becoming part of everyday life.

I love getting lost on foot and discovering little projects that make a difference. This time I found three gems:

1. Rothy’s – shoes and bags made from recycled plastic bottles, machine-washable, and fully recyclable in their stores when you’re done with them. A zero-waste certified company ♻️

2. Watercolor notebooks made from recycled cotton – the perfect thoughtful gift for your artist friend 🎨

3. A beautiful encounter with an artist who turns metal mesh into art, honoring the memories of visiting his grandmother 👵🧡🌞

Hoy les quiero contar sobre esta película que tienen que ver sobre los plásticos! Y si quieren comenzar a entender la historia de los plásticos, véanse primero LA HISTORIA DE LOS PLÁSTICOS.

Plastic People is a punchy, friendly wake-up call about our plastic mess. It zooms from Texas’ illegal discharges, where companies dump waste and dodge rules, to the Pasig River in the Philippines, where kids swim through plastic soup just to get to school.

Heartbreaking, but it shows why community advocacy against illegal dumping is a game-changer. We can push back together!

The film gets personal fast: microplastics are now in newborns’ brains and placentas. Yep, we’re passing our trash to the next generation before they even take a breath 😱

Shoutout to the Plastic Pollution Coalition ‼️real people fighting for bans, cleanups, and smarter laws. They prove one voice (or a million) can demand profit isn’t more important than people.

Short, sharp, and hopeful if we act. Because hope is something and action is everything ♻️♻️♻️❤️🌞🤩

Yesterday I visited the Laguna Beach Art Museum to see the Art + Nature exhibition – and wow, it was powerful.

First highlight: the stunning paintings of Conrad Buff, a Swiss immigrant who fell in love with the American Southwest. His bold, colorful, deeply contrasted canvases capture what he saw on 1920s road trips through Arizona and Utah ⛰️

A true modernist of Southern California, yet until now his work has rarely appeared in major museum exhibitions. Buff used cross-hatching to turn rugged landscapes into what he called “organic design”

Nature itself as the ultimate artist.

Second highlight: Luke Erickson’s haunting photographs of the Los Angeles River. Once a living waterway, now an engineered concrete channel devoid of human presence. Since 1977, Erickson has documented this uneasy balance between utility and erasure.

A stark reminder of what we’ve lost in the name of progress 🚧

What made this exhibition even more special: it’s part of Laguna Beach’s entire month-long celebration of art and environmentalism this year 🌏

That’s a huge leap from the previous few-day event, proof that the city is seriously committed to raising environmental awareness through art.

If you care about nature, beauty, and the stories we tell about our planet, this show is a must-see.
