Batman x Riddler: Black Gambit

WISHLIST PROJECTS UPDATE:
In light of our unfulfilled crowdfunding campaign, it seems that lack of budget may have kept us from premiering at L.A. Comic-Con this winter. Still, I hold the dream of producing each of the fan-made films in our library to debut there, annually as we've done for the past 3 years.

In order to keep this dream alive, I will put more focus on promoting my Patreon page* delivering more exclusive content there in the hopes to attract those of you who wish to see these projects come to fruition alongside me and the fellow artists creating them. Patreon is a monthly subscription platform with some "perks". The funds there will be saved up & tracked until we've reached our budget goal for the next project, which will be voted on by the patrons (who I warmly refer to as The Patreon Royals & Loyals).

Contributions can be tracked privately, and the monthly progression will be posted to my website and the project webpage. On Patreon, there are individual tier levels with different perks, a community wall where everyone can discuss the project(s) and ask questions, plus a message board where I can be reached individually.

This may not be the quickest way to fund a non-profit fan-film but it's one that I haven't tried yet. After several attempts at different crowdfunding platforms Patreon seems to be garnered towards community growth, which I am all about. We don't need to sprint if a marathon will get us to the target.

I'm fighting even harder for these because there are many of you who still want to see these movies made as much as I do.

I haven't forgotten about the Batman x Riddler project. We reached half our goal with the first attempt which has me contemplating running the campaign again to see if we can reach the full amount. It's an all or nothing fundraising campaign so knowing if you're interested in seeing the Batman x Riddler project happen is important. These fan films are not made only for me, but for your enjoyment and celebration of the characters we love. So, your interest matters very much.

One of the added perks to the crowdfunding campaign will be that every doner gets an invite to the wrap party premiere and an optional video chat with the director and/or the writer. I have a list of comic cons from the east to the west coast that intend to tour the movie at as well.

BATMAN X RIDDLER JOINS MY PROJECT WISHLIST
Unfortunately, our project has not been fully funded on Kickstarter, and I wanted to be sure to address how much I appreciate all who donated and helped by spreading the word.

Also, some of you were writing me, asking what the obstacles were or what I think the cause of our lack of backers. I can't know for certain but there could have been several obstacles:

1.) Low income to invest money into marketing. Some social media marketing was done such as financially "boosting ads". As well as promo through our teamster's podcast. Plus,

2.) I'm basically a "one-man" marketing team with no celebrity under my belt, so my reach is only but so far. Though & still, Hunter and I promoted this project in clubs and groups associated with comic books, movies, and geek fandom, etc but...

3.) My project was asking for contributions VS investments where donors can stand to profit or make their money back. (Although the perks though CAN be worth the donations to SOME.)

4.) This may not be the most popular platform for a non-profit, fan film, movie production (with this budget).

5.) To be honest, maybe our project isn't interesting enough to warrant being fully funded on this platform (right now).

Overall, NO blame is being placed on anyone/anything as I accept the outcome, having done all of what I could at this time. With prior understanding that going this route was a long shot I had to take the chance. Another learning experience under the belt. Moving forward.
