Happy Birthday to my sister 🎉Very proud of how you continuously reinvent yourself for the better. Remaining humble no matter how high you go. I’m inspired by how you turn every obstacle into a building block. You keep me level headed in all my challenges.

No matter how busy you are you always show up for your people. You are continuously bossing up while remaining a dedicated mom. Thank you continuously having my back and leading by demonstration.

#1 lesson I learned from my Uncle’s death is: “To forgive is to be free.” 🕊️

Forgiveness is a powerful act of releasing oneself from the emotional weight of resentment, anger, or pain. It signifies that true freedom comes not from seeking revenge or holding grudges but from letting go of negative emotions and choosing peace.

When you don’t forgive, you carry that pain into your daily life. You start making decisions from a place of pain, which only attracts more pain. You begin to become someone you’re not, and if you go long enough, you’ll become lost and forget who you truly are.

When you don’t forgive, it becomes impossible for you to recognize love because you’re stuck in pain, even when it’s right in front of you.

So FORGIVE quickly and set yourself FREE. 🕊️

Peace in Paradise, Uncle Tone. Thank you for all you’ve done for our family. There would be no me without. You helped build the foundation I stand on. We’ll carry it from here💪🏾🖤

It’s what’s in your head, that determines what’s in your hands!

Mindset means everything. You have to make it real in your mind before the universe reveals the path to it. Start moving like the future version of yourself. Practice the habits and ways of the person you envision becoming. Before you know it, it’s no longer practice, it’s reality!

Turned 33 on the 16th. Sat beside my Uncle as he took his last breath the night before. I lost a Father figure, mentor & best friend.

I was so proud to call you my Uncle my whole life. Told everyone that knew me that my Uncle owned the corner of 52nd and Florence.

You pulled every string possible for me to start . Found my vehicles, connected me to Fred & let me use all your resources with no questions asked. Not sure how I would have made it happen without you.

Wish we could of talk before you went into the hospital but I’m so grateful for all the talks we did have. I’m so proud of you and I promise to carry it Unc. This next run is for you! Imma continue to be the “Miracle” you believe I am. Rest up and tell Kev I miss him 🕊️

Life never been the same. Nothing in life can fill the void of losing my bestfriend. Wish I could argue with him one more time and ask for a favor 2 hours later.

I miss being a little brother. Being able to have moments being the immature, irresponsible, bad ass little brother knowing he would have my back and make sure Im good. All while cursing me out. No matter how many times he say he not gone do something for me, I never took him serious knowing its impossible for him to leave me hanging.

Have not met a person with a bigger heart than him. He only meant good, and family was always #1 in his life. In the moment I didn’t understand how much of a great big brother he was but I always appreciated him. With all my accomplishments I’m still striving to be as good as him. Miss him so much but so grateful for the years we had together.

For those out there with amazing older siblings, love on them. They’re irreplaceable. Happy I can say I truly loved mines and I know he knew that. But If I knew it wouldn’t be forever like we talked about I would have enjoyed our time together a-lot more.

Today I got a chance to meet Raul Porto the owner of ! Insanely inspirational hearing the story of how his Mother and Father took huge risks creating to make a way for the family. Thats the exact mission I’m on. Thank you James and Scott for the invite.

Here are some notes I took from his speech:

1. Everyone must be all in. Him and his siblings were in the kitchen with the mother early. Everyone helped mom. Dad even helped after work dropping off cake deliveries. Everyone focused on the empire.

2. He recognized early that his menu needed more mass appeal. He upgraded the menu and now Portos isn’t just a Cuban bakery, it is the bakery of California. Everyone loves Portos. (Including me😂)

3. They are hyper focused on customer satisfaction. They track and award their managers based on customer feedback scores. Which is all review site combined like yelp and google.

4. They grew in the communities by giving back to the communities. Instead of spending money on marketing they donated food and funds to churches, schools, etc. In return the communities supported them.

5. Never stop learning. You have to grow with the business and learn quickly.

6. Last but not least! Relationships are everything. Everyone spoke so highly of him in the room and they all worked with him in someway. You can tell they would go above and beyond for him.

PS. I got him to sign his name tag for me because he’s the LeBron of the food industry to me. Great day. Hope these notes helped someone.

When people ask me about our daughters I tell them they’re doing great. Then I start bragging about how amazing they are. Funny, kind, loving, entertaining and honest. Summer and Sage are the best part of my life & its because of how great a job you’ve done as a Mother. Thank you for your impact in my life and our kids life. I Love You!
