Tool bag setup as a 4th commercial/industrial apprentice electrician
Finally bit the bullet and bought a beehive, I was running a tuff tool bag for a while but have out grown it with all the tools I need to carry. I was perfectly happy with how the tuff tool bag performed but it was just too small. What size bags is everyone else running? Do most people run multiple bags?

My “slightly older” circular saw.
My 1971? Sears Craftsman Circular Saw. It was used by my grandfather to finish several basements and built multiple sheds. It was then used by my other grandfather to build another shed. It is heavy, but very robust. It’s got decent speed and good torque, and it is so durable that it chipped a concrete floor when I dropped it once. I don’t know how exactly to pinpoint the model year, although I know it is late 1960s-early 1970s. The serial number is 5426. It spins rather slow at 5800 rpm, but is pretty powerful. interesting how it takes 7 inch blades. I wonder which company made this one? Stanley? It lacks a brake and therefore takes forever to spool down. I still have the original booklet, listing all the parts for repair! Before planned obsolescence.

House bag dump
Giving the bag a clean as it accumulates dust and trash. This is what I use around the house most of the time. The bag also has some general purpose nails (8d I think?), finish brads, and wire nuts in the pockets.

Grinder with a bent shaft
I was given this recently, and did not discover until after I got it home that both of the fairly heavy gauge wheel covers were bent.

Both grinding wheels are brand new, and I think I know why. It appears that the grinder was dropped.

There is a pronounced wobble on both wheels at full speed. I removed both wheels, and turned it on again, and it was clear that the shaft was bent on both ends.

Clearly, it’s not safe to use for grinding, do you think it’s safe to use with a cloth buffing wheel, or an inflatable bladder sanding cylinder?

Thrift store tools
$14 in total, all American made except the red clamp on the top. Don't really need it but it was so stupidly small I couldn't say no.

What are those far right pliers for? I've never seen some like that

Tried three brands of T-20 star bits while removing some composite decking

The Makita Impact 5-pack cost $7.47 and extracted 16 screws before wearing out. $0.47 per screw.

The Dewalt Maxfit 2-pack cost $3.97 and extracted 26 screws. $0.15 per screw.

The Milwaukee Shockwave 2-pack cost $4.47 and extracted 12 screws. $0.37 per screw.

The Makita bits were remarkably inconsistent. Most of the screws were extracted by one of the five bits. Some wore out on the first screw. The first Milwaukee extracted 11 screws before wearing out and the second only one. The Dewalt were consistent, both bits extracted 13 screws.

NTD - Finally got them
The left one is my new everyday brute-force combo plier. I used them all afternoon. A game changer, much easier on the wrists. The right one is for terminations and panel work.

One of the coolest things I’ll ever own

This was in a mystery tool lot I snagged off FBM. It was essentially free. Instantly knew it was treasure when I pulled it out of a box when I got home, it’ll be a keeper for life. Haven’t seen anything like it before.

For being ancient and forgotten in the bottom of a toolbox, I’m astonished at its condition, too. Struck gold on this one.
