The response has been electric. After sold-out houses and standing ovations, we're thrilled to announce that Lauren Yee's Cambodian Rock Band will rock on through March 23rd at the David Henry Hwang Theater!

Extension week shows run Thursday through Sunday beginning March 13, and include special masked matinees every Saturday at 2 PM. Members of the LA Khmer community can email [email protected] for special community access tickets.

HELLO LOS ANGELES! Cambodian Rock Band previews start next week and the band has entered the building! Here's a tasty taste of the bold and beautiful program cover art you'll be taking home after the show! Got your tickets yet??

Lauren Yee's epic part-play, part-rock concert with songs by Dengue Fever explores the story of a Khmer Rouge survivor as he returns to Cambodia after 30 long years. As his daughter prepares to prosecute one of the country's most notorious war criminals, the ghosts of their shared past begin to stir. This deeply moving story weaves back and forth through time as father and daughter confront history, turning to music as a path towards healing.

This production brings back longtime artistic collaborator Chay Yew to direct his 10th show at EWP and includes members of the original cast from the show’s world premiere at .

All performances are at the David Henry Hwang Theater, 120 Judge John Aiso St., Los Angeles, CA 90012, in historic Little Tokyo. CAMBODIAN ROCK BAND runs February 13 through March 9, 2024. Performance times are 8 PM Friday to Saturday (some Thursdays), with 2 PM matinees on Saturday, and 5pm performances on Sunday. A Pay-What-You-Can performance is scheduled for Monday, February 24 at 8PM.
