A lot of people spend years trying to explain family pressure, burnout, guilt, or cultural expectations without having the language for it. Alvarado Family Therapy already speaks that language fluently.
The San Diego-based practice focuses heavily on supporting Asian American clients navigating anxiety, trauma, identity struggles, perfectionism, and generational stress with therapists who understand those experiences personally. Several members of the team openly share their own experiences as second-generation Asian Americans, children of immigrants, caregivers, and people balancing multiple cultural identities. That familiarity comes through clearly across the practice.
Founder Jeana Abadejos built the practice around creating spaces where clients feel seen, validated, and emotionally safe. Her background as a second-generation Filipina American therapist continues to shape much of the work, especially around anxiety and generational trauma.
That same sense of care carries into the way the practice presents itself online. Even the therapist bios feel warm, personal, and approachable, making the space feel welcoming long before the first session begins.
