SEEING STARS
Our bodies are vessels, a temporary home,
For the essence we hold will forever roam.
We are not defined by this time-worn skin
For we hold an infinite truth within.
We have never been born, never truly died,
For we stroll an eternal journey inside.
Look at the ocean and the star-filled sky,
All sweet reflections of this endless supply.
Before time began, we were spirit so free,
Unbound by limitations that now we perceive.
Birth and death, are mere doors to enter
To release all pains - find our sweet surrender.
This life is a game, hide and seek ever more
For we search for ourselves in different forms,
So we need each other to recognise
All the parts that are lost to our limited mind.
For we both hold a universe hidden from sight
And we're both still searching to light up the sky.
We chose to reflect our truth to each other
As sisters and brothers of only one lover.
So let us embrace - hold hands through the night,
No more goodbyes when connected with light.
Let us laugh, let us dance, let us choose just to be
The love that we are - the truth that we feel
For in each beginning, we must feel the end,
Yet we love forever, again and again.
Beneath this guise, as one we blend,
But in life we are two, for we asked for a friend.
The star cannot see it's heavenly gleam
So it watches, admiring each star that it sees -
If only the star had a friend in the night
To tell them they too are a beautiful sight.
