I’m so excited to announce I will be vending at ‘s Lunar New Year event! ❤️🧧🎉 Lunar New Year is my favorite holiday so I just had to celebrate with Mayumi one last time before I close my shop! I’ll be bringing back a limited supply of some popular Asian inspired designs for this market and for that day only everything will be 50% off!! That’s right! End of summer ☀️

A time of transitions and new firsts
I started working at an after school program where I get to do art with the cutest kids
I saw the Milky Way surrounded by my favorite plants on earth
I went to my first WNBA game
I pet rescue cats and one fell asleep on me
I spent hours in the ocean on one of the hottest days of the year
I took a break from social media and really like using it less
I met Mr. Betelgeuse and pole danced in the afterlife
I received a diagnosis for my ADHD (I’ve been trying for almost a year!)
I started my application for grad school
I fell in love with my partner all over again

I’m so thankful for this life 💕

Life recently ✨

After my 2 big end of pride events, I’ve been taking a little break from to focus on family, friends, and food (hehe).

I’m honestly getting pretty sick of social media and trying to maintain a “presence” and an “image” just to make a living. The truth is this account is just a small glimpse into my work and my life and it really all feels superficial. I can feel myself getting tired. I want to stop pressuring myself to make “content” and just let okayokayco be what it always has been: an extension of myself.

I tell my friends I didn’t start this business to get rich or famous (not like that is even close to being true lol). I just want to make art that excites me and share it with people who feel that same excitement.

I’m already on a path towards a different career. One that feels a lot more fulfilling to me. I don’t want to give up okayokayco and I don’t think I will any time soon, but I just want to refocus on what is important to me. We all gotta make money, and unfortunately in this business that means making content, but I just want to do it in a way where I’m not losing myself in the process.

So yes. No solutions, no real plan. I can’t say that’s very abnormal of me. I just want to put what’s been on my mind into the universe because I know a lot of you probably feel the same way. Expect to see more of me in my content. Or maybe just less content overall if that’s what feels best. I hope you have a good day and thanks for taking the time to read my rant.
