Panel Discussion: The Radical Act of Being Seen

Sunday, March 1st at 2pm Start Up Art Fair @ The Kinney Hotel, Venice Beach

What happens when you're truly seen—without judgment, without measuring against impossible standards, without shame?

Join me and six incredible panelists for an honest conversation about body image, self-worth, and why visibility itself is radical:

💜 Nancy Kay Turner - artist, writer, exploring fat politics since 1979
💜 Kathryn Pitt - created 3 paintings for Perceive Me
💜 Jason Jenn - documented the project from the beginning with LA Art Documents
💜 Ray Beldner - collaborating artist
💜 Liberty Worth - participated in n**e portrait sessions, wrote about the transformation
💜 Surprise Guest - fresh perspective from the live sessions

We'll talk about the gap between how we feel inside (powerful, beautiful, enough) and what we see in the mirror. Why skilled witnessing creates healing. How the beauty industrial complex profits from our insecurities. What direct action against beauty standards actually looks like.

This isn't just theory. Participants literally jump for joy after their sessions. They weep at the profundity. Artists call it "life-changing." Models report "layers of negativity gone."

The beauty industrial complex wants us to fix ourselves. Perceive Me offers something else: acceptance. Visibility. Celebration of bodies as they actually are.
