We go, we grow, “We Glow” ❇️
This groovy wiggle “We Glow” has been in the works for quite some time. The frame was built in 2023 and was hanging out in my studio until I stretched the canvas earlier this year.
The 70 crescent shapes were individually painted using masking tape and large paint brushes. Each gradient has 5 colors, and they relate to each other in a way that creates contrast and larger gradients within the piece while touching every end of the color spectrum.
For the illusion, the shading between each row is even, keeping the perspective ambiguous and making the viewer wonder which direction “We Glow” is facing.
It was lovely taking my time with this one and seeing where it took me. I got to release my perfectionist urges while having an utterly great time with color. 💗🎨
