Peter Bogdanovich was a raconteur, an intellectual and a subtle revolutionary. We first met at an art house in Los Angeles and our friendship and collaborations spanned nearly 60 years. As a film historian, he was passionate about preserving the history of motion pictures. As a teacher and mentor, he was generous in passing his knowledge on to future generations. The legacy of his love of cinema and the films he made will live on.

The originality I have seen throughout this contest is amazing to me. It shows that no matter what is going on in the world, people are creative and they have a great ability to do wonderful things. Today I salute the Golden Mask winner, UNLOCKDOWN, by Sebastien Liebus, an amazingly creative picture made with a style to a certain extent to which I’ve worked. Congratulations Sebastien!
