My work is inspired by the ecological and social environments in which I live. This past year I have spent copious amounts of time in the same environment, my home, due to the pandemic. What I have found to be inspiring in this time has been stories that I have read or heard that people have shared. As an artist, I see myself as a conduit, absorbing my surroundings and filtering them into my work. For this new series, Ears To Hear, I want to take inspiration from these stories and more. Your stories. Stories shared can be new, old, inspiring, tragic, heartfelt, hilarious, big, small, or any other shape of humanity.
The emotion of a story, the human element, can ignite compassion and interaction. Interaction and compassion can help build bridges of connection which can result in knowing others. Please feel free to share your story here or at [email protected]
