Hernan Lopez is the founder and former CEO of Wondery, the podcast network best known for hits such as Dirty John, Business Wars, American History Tellers, and Dr Death. Hernan founded Wondery in 2016 and it quickly became one of the fastest-growing podcast companies in the world. shed, Joe vs. Wondery was acquired by Amazon in 2021. After leaving Wondery, Hernan co-founded Danvas, a VC-backed company that creates innovative, luxury LED digital art displays. Danvas is revolutionizing the ways collectors and artists engage with and appreciate digital art. Hernan’s passion for business and philanthropy has been an undercurrent of his work. Lopez is the Founder & Chairperson of the Hernan Lopez Family Foundation, a non-profit that seeks to dismantle systematic bias and empower individuals from historically marginalized communities through grants, training, and mentorship. Hernan is a founding member and Governor of The Podcast Academy, an organization that supports podcast makers and advances the medium’s cultural merit. As a proud member of the LBGTQ+ community, Hernan has also served on the board of GLAAD. He serves as a board member of the Latino Donor Collaborative, a non-profit dedicated to reshaping the perception of Latinos as part of the American social mainstream. Lopez has been a featured speaker at the Cannes Lions International Festival Of Creativity, SXSW, Natpe, CES, the Festival Of Media, WSJ Tech Live, and numerous investor conferences worldwide. His articles have been published in publications such as Ad Age and Fast Company. A native of Argentina, Hernan moved to Miami in 1997, where he obtained an MBA from the University of Miami.
