To the neighbor who left my dog’s p**p on my doorstep…

I’m honestly still upset about what happened this morning. I woke up to find a pile of my dog’s waste sitting right on my welcome mat. What makes it even more frustrating is that my porch camera clearly shows you picking it up from your yard, carrying it onto my property, and intentionally leaving it at my front door.

I understand that finding dog p**p in your yard is annoying. I really do. But there’s a mature way to handle a neighborhood problem, and leaving the waste on someone’s doorstep is not it. You could have simply knocked on my door or spoken to me about it.

I always try to clean up after my dog, but sometimes accidents happen. Dogs go outside, they sniff around, and they do their business. That’s part of having a dog in the neighborhood.

What happened today felt unnecessary, disrespectful, and honestly pretty hostile. If you have an issue with my dog, talk to me directly. Don’t come onto my property and leave something disgusting at my front door.

So I’m asking you clearly: please do not come onto my property again to leave anything or retaliate in this way. I have the video footage, and if it happens again, I will have no choice but to contact the police.

We’re neighbors. There are better ways to handle disagreements than this.

I was standing in line at Walmart, just trying to pay for my groceries and head home, when a mom and her child stepped in front of me looking like they had barely made it out of bed. No effort, no self-awareness, and seemingly no concern about how they were presenting themselves in public.

What surprised me most was how completely normal she seemed about it. She was chatting with her kid, unloading groceries, and going about her day like putting even a little effort into your appearance was completely unnecessary. And I couldn’t help but wonder when going to Walmart became an excuse to stop caring altogether.

Seeing her child dressed with that same mindset made me think about something bigger.

When you’re a parent, your kids are watching you. The way you carry yourself can become the example they grow up believing is normal and acceptable.

I’m not saying everyone needs to dress up just to buy groceries. Comfort is perfectly fine. But there’s a difference between being comfortable and looking like you’ve completely stopped caring about yourself.

I know some people will say, “It’s none of your business.” And technically, maybe it isn’t. But when you choose to go out in public, other people are going to see you—and they’re allowed to have an opinion.

Maybe the real issue is that we’ve started confusing self-acceptance with never making an effort at all.

🚗💸 $160 just to fill up a regular SUV with standard gasoline. At nearly $7 a gallon, that price is starting to feel less shocking—and that’s honestly the scary part.

Fuel used to be one of those everyday expenses we could budget for without thinking too much about it. Now, rising gas prices are forcing people to make tougher choices just to keep their vehicles on the road.

The biggest concern is what happens when people start cutting corners on routine maintenance because they need that money for gas. Skipping oil changes, tires, brakes, or other basic repairs might save money today, but could lead to much more expensive problems later.

So where do we go from here? Do we simply adjust to the rising cost of everyday life, or is it time to rethink how we live, travel, and get around? 🤔⛽

We had a big group dinner, and the bill ended up being $585. The food was good, the service was solid, and we left a $60 tip because we genuinely felt that was fair.

What bothered me wasn’t the bill or even the tip—it was the server’s reaction.

Instead of simply saying thank you, they commented that they were expecting something closer to $120. When someone at the table questioned it, suddenly it was “just a joke.” But honestly, it didn’t feel like a joke in the moment.

And just like that, the entire mood changed.

We left wondering: Was a $60 tip really that unreasonable on a $585 bill? Or have tipping expectations reached a point where even a decent tip is no longer considered enough?

I just need to rant for a second because I’m honestly about to cry 🥲

A whole softball team came in and took up my entire section, and after taking care of everyone, the tip was only $40.

I’m exhausted, overwhelmed, and honestly just frustrated. I know people don’t always realize how much work goes into taking care of a large group, but when you’re running around nonstop for an entire team, $40 can feel incredibly discouraging.

💰 Was a $70 Tip Really Not Enough?

Our group recently went out for dinner, and after gratuity was added, the bill came to $467.76. The meal was great, the service was good, and overall, we had a really enjoyable experience.

We left a $70 tip because we felt it was a fair way to show our appreciation for the service.

What surprised us was the reaction afterward. Instead of simply saying thank you, the server made a comment suggesting that a larger tip had been expected. Everyone at the table was caught off guard. It was later explained as a joke, but honestly, it didn’t come across that way in the moment.

The pre-tip total was $397, so $70 was roughly 17.6%.

Now we’re wondering: Was that a reasonable tip for good service, or should we have tipped more?

A $10 Tip… In Quarters? Seriously? 😳🪙

I just finished a DoorDash delivery when the customer told me he forgot to leave a tip through the app. Okay, things happen. I figured that was the end of it.

Then he pulls out a roll of quarters and hands me $10 worth of change.

He says, “Sorry man, I didn’t tip on the app. This is all I’ve got.”

I’m sorry, but what am I supposed to do with a handful of quarters? 😂

I’m a delivery driver, not a vending machine, parking meter, or walking Coinstar. Now I have to carry around a pocketful of heavy coins or find somewhere to exchange them just to turn my tip into usable money.

I accepted it because I wasn’t about to argue with someone over a tip, but that doesn’t mean I think it was reasonable.

If you want to tip your driver, there are plenty of options—use the app, hand over cash, or send it digitally. Just please don’t make someone haul around a mini piggy bank. 😭

How is it reasonable for one new set of OCPs to cost nearly $300?

$123 for the uniform… and then another $163 for alterations?! 😳

I understand that uniforms aren’t going to fit everyone perfectly, but if alterations are basically required just to stay within regulations, what choice do people really have?

These uniforms are supposed to be standard issue and practical, yet the extra cost to make them regulation-compliant can be almost as much as the uniform itself.

Am I missing something here, or is this just way too expensive? 🤔

I honestly didn’t want to make a big deal out of this… but after watching it happen all day, I finally had enough. 😅

The guy across the street has been outside doing yard work shirtless for hours, like he’s spending the day at the beach. 🏖️

The problem is… this isn’t a beach. It’s a neighborhood where families are outside, kids are playing, and people are constantly walking by.

At first, I figured it was none of my business and tried to ignore it. But after hours of it, it started feeling less like a personal choice and more like something the whole neighborhood was being subjected to.

This is a shared community, not a private backyard.

So yes, I ended up filing a complaint. Maybe some people will think that was unnecessary, but I feel like living around other people comes with a little consideration and respect.

🍔😳 Was I Wrong for Not Cleaning Up My Table at McDonald’s?

I got into an argument with a complete stranger at McDonald’s today, and honestly, I’m still wondering if I was in the wrong.

After we finished eating, we left our table with the usual stuff—trays, wrappers, cups, nothing unusual. As we were heading out, an older man stopped us and started saying we were being “disrespectful” because we didn’t throw everything away.

That honestly caught me off guard.

We paid for our food, and I always thought clearing tables was part of the staff’s job. It’s McDonald’s, not a full-service restaurant, but I also didn’t see any sign saying customers were required to clean their tables before leaving.

What started as a comment quickly turned into an argument. Voices were raised, things got heated, and somehow we ended up being asked to leave.

Now I’m wondering… has cleaning your own table at fast-food restaurants become an unspoken rule?

I’ll be honest—I usually leave my tray and trash for the employees to clear unless there’s a clearly posted expectation to clean up after yourself.
