Thank you to Jan Buttram for writing a seductive and twisty script, Schwartz for your precise, creative and fun direction and to my co star in, ahem...crime...ish, Chris Devlin for you talent, sincerity and gifts. You are the best!
And thank you to Matthew Quinn and Combined Artform + Asylum for the 30 minutes or less festival that keeps on giving!

Great news to share!
I am producing and co-starring in a new play called SWEET LORRAINE as part of the 30 Minutes Or Less festival in Hollywood! Woohoo!
SWEET LORRAINE is an original play written by award winning playwright Jan Buttram. Directed by the multi talented and co starring and myself.
SYNOPSIS:
When Lorraine, a yoga instructor, unexpectedly bumps into her ex-husband, Arthur, at a local coffee shop, sparks fly, memories get ignited, romance is rekindled... until...It soon becomes evident that this might not be a meeting of chance. Is Lorraine looking for love or does she have a much more devious plan up her lululemon sleeve?

Hard to believe that two years ago, I was on a plane to Scotland to perform Cat S**T Crazy for an absolutely thrilling experience
that is Edinburgh Festival Fringe!

Performing in Edinburgh was a dream come true that took 7 years of research, absorbing like a sponge all of the free workshops and discussions with fellow solo show artists who went before me and attending the festival as a spectator in 2022. Thank you to you all who came before me for your advice and sharing!!!

My road to Edinburgh in 2023 started out bumpy with 8-hour plane delays, getting lost and then, at 2am, not being able to get into my rental. The city didn't sleep and I found my way to a bed and the next day, hit the pavement looking for my posters!!

When I found out (2 days before the festival) that my poster had been CENSORED, I went a little ballistic! How hard I had worked on perfecting that poster, not to mention the money spent to do so. Apparently, the "S**t "in Cat S**t Crazy wasn't acceptable to the Scottish advertising folks- really? 'P***s' was acceptable, 'W***e' was acceptable, 'B***s' was acceptable, but S**t written like S**t was not!! Close your eyes kids!

After my initial freak out and contacting my graphic person in NY to create a poster with a tasteful 'censorship' icon instead of a piece of black tape which Out of Hand was going to do........a MIRACLE happened!

I GOT FREE PRESS!!!

I was in the Edinburgh Evening News and got interviewed on the EdFringe podcast and mentioned as one of WhatsonStage 10 Most Eye Catching Titles! People came up to me on the street while I was flyering would say
"Oh! You're the CAT LADY- I read about you!"

My advice for those brave, bold artists (especially solo performers from the US) is to enjoy each moment. Connect with fellow artists and shows, write reviews, busk busk busk, that's flyer, flyer, flyer. Embrace the reality that you are in the original Fringe Festival, the one that started alllll the other Fringe Festivals.

And also, take care of your physical and mental health. You don't have to go to every event. Several of my fellow solo artists got COVID and couldn't perform. So, just take care of your body and mind. Most importantly.....
HAVE AN ABSOLUTE BLAST!!!!!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎭💃🏻🥳🙆🏻‍♀️💕

This documentary will make you laugh, cry and have all the feels in between. Please go to a screening in your area so we can save more cats abroad. This is one woman's story and it takes a village. Purrrfectly beautiful, heartbreaking and there's😽 more work to be done!🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈🐾🐾😻
