Founder Bill Kaiser started Purple Circuit as a quarterly newsletter, during a time when LGBTQ+ theatre companies were thriving...but hiding.

Calling all q***r youth!

Staging Pride: Q***r Youth Theater applications are now open.

National Q***r Theatre is looking for q***r and trans youth in NYC between the ages of 12-18 who love theater and want to participate in our free after-school program. Staging Pride is 100% FREE, and includes pizza, a stipend, and Broadway and Off-Broadway field trips. The program focuses on fostering community, teaching LGBTQ+ history through artistic engagement, developing leadership skills, and promoting positive self-esteem.
