Hey Republicans and those who are blaming Kamala for US Israeli foreign policy and don’t want to vote for her, I know you know Trump is a sexual abuser, a felon, a convicted fraudster, a conspiracy theorist, an election denier, January 6th domestic terrorist, that he incites racism, that he's in Putin's pocket, wants to dismantle the U.S. Constitution, wants to eliminate the rule of law that’s not in his favor, wants to mimic N**i mass exportation by putting brown skinned immigrants in camps and deporting them, is a psychopathic liar and is in cognitive decline. I know that makes you not want to vote for him but if you don’t want the day to come when, if you say any of these things and protest against him, you risk losing your personal freedoms by being persecuted by his justice department or his AK47 toting supporters, then protest US foreign policy with Israel like your life depends on it, but snap out of it and vote for Kamala - AND help get other people to do the same. Or your friends and family and acquaintances and coworkers are going to hear you say, “I can’t believe he won.” And you’re. going to know in your heart of hearts that you know exactly why he won, because you and others like you did not vote for Kamala Harris. So find out what politicians and NGO’s are working on changing US – Israeli policy and light a fire under your activism but in the meantime get your privileged ass out to vote! Snap out of it. Go Vote, before it’s the last time your vote will count. Not Hyperbole.

Easy validated parking across the street at the Beverly Center, enter on San Vicente, enter first level, park to the left and exit down the stairs, cross the street to the tall glass tower.

The HIV Writers Workshop is open to all people, HIV negative, HIV positive, anyone infected and affected. That’s you.

The Workshop is a safe space to put into words the emotions and experiences of
personal issues stemming from stigmatization, intimacy, addictions, shame, guilt, fragility, ableism, race relations, gender identity, sexuality, community, family and love.
The workshop encourages writing as a modality for healing, community building and creative development. Our writing engages with the relevant conversations of today.

The HIV Writers Workshop is a free enriching experience with a focus on self-expression and creating your powerful artistic voice. The Workshop is a safe space to play and explore. The AIDS crisis built a social platform that allowed the group to be founded in a safe, full disclosure environment.

Today the workshop still helps people develop their creativity to put into words the emotions & experiences stemming from stigmatization, shame, fear, guilt, intimacy, drug use, disease, ableism, self-care, race relations, gender identity, sexuality, and love. As so many social issues within the HIV/AIDS, LGBTQ+, BIPOC and differently abled communities are stigmatized, the dynamic of the workshop allows for all cultural circumstances to be fully discussed and openly incorporated into our writing. It is through this creative process we get to unpack these conversations and flush them out to enrich our stories and our characters and our lives. With rich history and traditions, the workshop encourages very honest writing as a modality for healing, community building and creative development.

It’s for people with an urge to write who haven’t gotten started or for people with writing experience who are looking to energize their writing practice. The literature we read in the room is often within LGBTQ+, BIPIOC and Feminist genres. Come play in our sandbox and jumpstart your writing practice!

There are two groups to choose from:
Wednesday evenings in person near West Hollywood from 6:30 – 9:30
Saturday afternoons on Zoom from 1:00 – 4:00
There are no costs, just a commitment.

This free, no cost, Writing Workshop is a safe place where our members use creative writing to investigate the experiences influencing their lives. The Workshop is neither group therapy nor an academic class. It is a place to play and explore. It is available to all, writers who want to develop their practice, people with an urge to write who have not yet begun that journey and anyone in-between. Everyone is welcome, people who are HIV positive, HIV negative and people on PrEP, all who are infected or affected. Our workshop, founded in 1990, helps people put into words the emotions & experiences of living in a world where HIV and AIDS awareness and history continues to be a relevant social topic and this awareness gives space to creatively explore personal issues such as stigma, intimacy, substance abuse, self-care, gender identity, race relations, trauma and sexuality. The workshop encourages writing as a modality for healing, community building and creative development.

We, the Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, are proud to accept the Community Hero Award from the Los Angeles Dodgers for our twenty-seven years of service to the LGBTQIA2S Community.

This morning our Abbess, Sister Dominia, and another Board member, Sister Bearonce Knows, met with the Dodgers President and CEO Stan Kasten, heads of leading Los Angeles LGBT community organizations, and members of government from West Hollywood, Los Angeles County and the State of California Legislature.

A full apology and explanation was given to us by the Dodgers staff which we accept. We believe the apology is sincere because the Dodgers have worked for 10 years with our community and as well they have asked us to continue an ongoing relationship with them. In the future, if similar pressures from outside our community arise, our two organizations will consult and assist each other in responding, alongside our colleagues at the Los Angeles LGBT Center and others from the LGBTQIA2S community, now more closely tied with the LA Dodgers than ever before.

This affair has been an opportunity for learning with a silver lining. Our group has been strengthened, protected and uplifted to a position where we may now offer our message of hope and joy to far more people than before. With great love and respect, we thank each person and each organization that have spoken up for us. Thank you, and may your hearts be blessed with pure joy.

There are people who don’t understand who The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are or what we do. We are nine. We raise money for charities, often those neglected and overlooked. We dress as nuns because we are nuns. We are not harming any religions or others spiritual choices. However in addition to expiating guilt and promulgating joy we also while light on hypocrisy. The LA Doders rescinded honoring us because a prominent politician from another state is ignorant about what we do and is threatened by our love and goodness. We are taking this opportunity to help us raise funds to be more visible and do more work to help raise LGBTQIA+ awareness and help those in need.
