Artemis II back to Home Mission Accomplished, First Women First Black astronaut to Moon Orbit.
"After 10 days in deep space, Artemis II is home. Orion capsule Integrity splashed down April 10, traveled farther than any humans in history, and returned to Kennedy Space Center this week. Commander Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen orbited the Moon, testing systems for humanity’s return. Heat shield performed better than Artemis I. Next: Artemis III, landing on the Moon in 2028."
NASA’s Artemis II is home. After a 10-day, 252,756-mile journey around the Moon, Orion capsule Integrity returned to Kennedy Space Center April 28. Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen made history as the first Moon crew since 1972. Heat shield outperformed expectations.
