Happy Lunar New Year, y’all.
We’re barely a day into the Year of the Fire Horse and true to its name, we’re already off to a hot start. We can’t wait to tell you about it. But first… we need to catch up on last year.
What an absolute blur.
It was the year where all the hard work of setting the right foundational roots finally started to bear fruit. But y’know, it still feels like we’re only just seeing the first buds. The flowers haven’t fully bloomed. The fruit isn’t fully ripe. Maybe we’re still somewhere between blossom and mango.
Spirits were high, but getting through a crash course in proving whether or not we’re really about that life wasn’t easy. We definitely don’t take for granted that we had each other to lean on as we clawed our way out of the cave of doubt. We left with paint all over our clothes and pieces of our souls on the walls.
We’re proud of us.
As always, we’re deeply thankful for our team and for all the support we received. From the family we were born into, to our chosen family, to the random passerby that would honk in approval. It honestly brings tears to our eyes thinking about it. We’re grateful for the opportunity to use art as a vehicle to enrich our lives, the lives of our families, and the lives of those around us.
No matter how many mountains we climb, we somehow feel even more inspired to climb the next one. One step at a time. Maybe eating a mango on the way… as we dream wide awake.
