Every 5th job or so, I have trouble executing my vision, but as I tell my clients… it’s just paint! We can paint over it! And we can. And I did. The assignment was to make every surface in this magical little bathroom work with the incredible, vibrant slab that the client got. We didn’t want to go too matchy matchy with the slab, as that would have been a little overwhelming. She had considered wallpaper, but there’s a steam shower in there and that just wouldn’t work long term. Good thing I LOVE hand painting wallpaper!! So we went with an ombré that is both oceanic and talks to rocks with some glittery gold veining. Though it was a challenge, I had the best client in and collaborator in and I am so happy with how it turned out. Sometimes when you’re painting murals and it’s not going your way, just work the problem, paint over and start over:) This was the first project I worked on in 2026, and I just finished today after some stops and starts. I’m happy to say that Miss Anita booked in 2025, so 10% of this mural fee went to for the continued support of victims of the Eaton fire. Tell me what you think! And call me for all of your bathroom wallpaper alternative needs😉
