Handmade Lotka Journals From Nepal
Mia's Handmade was established in 2017 and started by Mia Quick at the age of 7. Her passion around journals and improving lives for women owned businesses in developing countries led her to start the company. Mia hand selects each journal specifically for her website.

These handmade journals are made according to traditional methods, from the sustainable pruning and trimming of the Lokta Bush. Lokta is only found above 6500ft in the Himalayan Mountains. Gathering the trimmings of raw Lokta is a cottage industry which employs many men and women while helping to improve the standard of living in the impoverished rural areas of Nepal. The paper is made of fine texture, strong and versatile and will last for centuries.
All products available on Mia's Handmade are made in Nepal primarily by women owned businesses. They are made with materials that are Tree Free and Fair Trade.
