Emre and I go way way way back. Met him at Steven’s randomly and we were basically instant friends. He’s true to his dance and doesn’t care so much about the spotlight or being the center… I respect this… so he started teaching at Zoukchata from time to time and now he’s doing his own thing the past however many years — Happy dance has treated him well. Definitely will commemorate his birthday at Zoukchata.

Yukiiiiiiii!!! Happy to have her celebrate at the one and only. If there’s one thing I learned in the past 15 years of dance is that Asians tend to learn hella-fast at dance… this girl is one of them. Dance-fam vibes and amazing dancing… isn’t this all we need to have an epic night? Can’t wait to celebrate!!!

You ready!? 20 spots. Starting a 11 week Bachata series in Anaheim Aug 17th. You’ll learn all Sensual/Zoukchata movements, connection and techniques … pure social dancing. The curriculum consists of exercises, drills, and a fun, useful combination that we go over in detail … all levels welcomed, walk-ins available only til week 3 OR unless you are intermediate or advanced. message me to RSVP or for more info!!!

Mondays 8:00-9:00 (Starts on-time, account for any traffic)
Aug 17th - Oct 26th (3 months)

It boggles the mind to hear some leads say … “I don’t need to learn solo anything.” etc etc. Trust me, a follower knows whether or not you understand your body — through that first move, your weight-change, frame — all that … It’s also very very easy to hide behind a great follower and not focus on yourself… yes, they can make you look good, but does it “feel” good for them? Do you both look/feel good together?

What will actually make you a great leader/dancer is understanding and focusing on your own body first — how it moves, how to isolate, how to use your weight change/frame… how you look in the mirror and on video. I understand it’s scary to face reality, but if you study these concepts, the moves will flow and you’ll feel way way more confident.. this team is a super-safe space to explore yourself, your habits (good or bad) and just straight up a place to fix all the crap you don’t like about yourself on the dancefloor.

This is a slight commitment - 3 months - ya .. but look, this is a small price to pay for your dance future.
